Ms. Chauhan and Mr. Gavin are cancer patient survivors and are dedicating themselves to help raise awareness about melanoma research.
Ms. Cynthia Chauhan: “I am a retired clinical social worker and survivor of two cancers who volunteers as a patient advocate to give back in gratitude for all that has been given to me. My interest is in bringing the patient voice and perspective to the research table and addressing the value of research in the community.”

Mr. Patrick Gavin R.Ph : “In 2007 I was diagnosed with stage 4 pharyngeal cancer. A cancer clinical trial was part of a successful treatment plan. In December 2008, I was subsequently diagnosed with malignant melanoma. I am now lifelong cancer survivor.”
